I quilted it simply in a grid, bound it in red, and voila! Label from my supply of vintage embroidered basket blocks:
Thank you Lori!
It looks sweet in my sewing/guest room and goes with my recently finished Winter Quilt. I guess I'm drawn to this soft red/pink/neutrals color scheme.
Space is tight but the ironing board (Ikea island) transforms to a nightstand when the need arises:)...
In other news, I can't stop baking these donuts!! I am way way way off the Weight Watchers wagon at this point.

A nice combination of quilts in your sewing/guest room.

I like your new wall hanging, and the quilt on the bed - so lovely :-)

Your basket quilt complements the winter quilt perfectly! Your guest room looks so tranquil with those two quilts featured, and a sweet place for a nap for you too. Those donuts look wonderful, and I won't even think of looking at the recipe ...
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect finish. It looks like it was asking to go there.
ReplyDeleteLove it. And it does go perfect with your Winter quilt. Hugs
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet quilt! It looks so nice hanging on the wall above your bed and it complements your other quilt perfectly! I love the label, too! Those donuts look delish :)
ReplyDeleteOh how I adore this quilt! It is so sweet! I saw Lori's quilt int he magazine, but now I am really inspired to make one too! You are too funny with the donut making. How can you bake in this heat? I don't think my oven has been on since May. I have stopped worrying about my weight. My friend is a nurse in a geriatric practice and she says it is important to have a little extra weight (emphasis on "little" I'm afraid) at my age so I will have reserves should I contract something dreadful. Well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it!
ReplyDeleteThat's lovely in your sewing room. It's the perfect finish. And those donuts look pretty awesome too.
ReplyDeletesuch a beautiful little quilt ~ and love your Winter quilt!
ReplyDeletecuteness overload! Your sentiments on the flowers and your vintage touch on the back are so charming.
ReplyDeleteI love how they look together. It is a great pallett.
Baked donuts? they look amazing! where did you find the recipe.
