This one was so interesting:
This one was such a stunner.
THIS one really knocked my socks off:
Gorgeous Log Cabin:
I'm really looking for inspiration for my next log cabin quilt -
Lynne Bassett taught us about children's period clothing -
Such an enjoyable time. If you are interested in quilts and history - where they intersect - think about joining the AQSG. And let me know if you do (no matter where in the country) so we can possibly connect!

I love the quilt with the baskets, flowers, stars and flying geese. Hugs
ReplyDeleteThat first quilt certainly gives one pause. To think it has survived nearly 200 years!
ReplyDeleteBe still my heart! I LOVE that medallion and it looks like there are a lot of early prints in it. My mother was born in Malden, maybe she is related to the maker - wink! I find it interesting that so many of our early New England quilts are tied and yet most major shows do not allow tied quilts!
ReplyDeleteEach one is wonderful and a treasure. I'm sure the makers couldn't believe that their work is on display and that hundreds of other quilter's are enjoying their quilts around the world.
ReplyDeleteI have an AQS pin. What is the "G" stand for?
ReplyDeleteQuite a good show. Glad to see old things valued.
I love the log cabin! wow what a visual stunning quilt.
ReplyDeletethe girls dresses are sweet!
Wonderful quilts and that medallion is a treasure! The little dresses, too :)
