Front Porch month 3 - basket

Today is the day we share our basket blocks for the Front Porch quilt-a-long.

I just finished today on this hot and hazy humid Monday.  These are the weeks of the year where I really wish we had central A/C!   We are having some young missionaries over for dinner tonight and we are trying to figure out how to do ALL the cooking outside.  I think it will be grilled burgers and corn, plus cold fruit and all the fixings.

I didn't have a large floral I liked, so I improvised with the flowers.

This is what we have so far:

Right away I started prepping for our next step - the three small watermelon blocks ... Check out the others' blocks on Lori's blog today, and say a little prayer for Lori as she recently lost her Mom to Alzheimers,  and today are the services.  Virtual quilter blogger hugs to you across the miles, Lori.

  6. Sensational! And, I wanted to let you know that I have nominated you for “One Lovely Blog Award”. You can read about it on my blog, but I wanted you to know that you don’t have to do anything. You are already and inspiration!
