Plan for Stars

My Stars in a Time Warp are accumulating... and I felt ready to make a plan...

It's fun to sort them a little bit and consider some settings...

On point with zig zag...

Alternating dark blocks (this brown is from Barbara Brackman - I love it):

Just the light-background stars (maybe?):

In the end I like the chaotic mix of lights and darks with plenty of the "cross" style blocks thrown in...

So this will be the base for Time Warp Quilt #1 (twin-ish sized, with a primitive-style applique border, probably!)

As for Time Warp #2, I am planning on this setting with light/dark split squares, no border:

Let the construction commence!

(Yes!  That is my new machine!  I do love it!!)

Meanwhile, summer has flown by...

Peaches from the tree in our backyard... can only mean... Peach Cobbler Time;).

  1. I really like the "cross" blocks, and I've only made a few that way -- I'm going to remember to do more. Good plans for your stars!

  2. I really like your 3rd choice for Time Warp quilt # 1, the cross blocks add that extra interest to the movement of the quilt. I'm looking forward to seeing the quilts coming to life!

  3. It's wonderful to see your stars auditioned in various settings. I've been thinking about zig-zag or alternate set, too. I love your final choices especially the one with all the stars together! Your peaches are beautiful and your cobbler looks yummy!

  5. Wow, you have a lot of fabulous stars! I started making 2 or 3 each week and now I'm lucky to get 1 done! I love both settings. I m a sucker for on point, but your #1 setting with all that color and dark and light prancing around is sensational. Love them all!

    1. Thank you so much Wendy! Yes.... I am realizing that I will need to make plenty of "extra" stars to pull off two quilts... but, sawtooth stars are unfailingly fun to make, addictive even!

  10. I LOVE your plans for your stars!! I didn't do this sew-along because of all the projects I already have in the works. And it's probably for the best, but seeing yours coming together makes me wish even more that I had!
    Thanks for sharing!
