Fall Festival part one

Lori at Humble Quilts has organized another QAL with Jan Patek's pattern Fall Festival.

Here is my start:

Invisible machine appliqué, using freezer paper templates, monofilament thread in the needle:

Planning to machine quilt this one myself.

Spacer blocks:

I'm using bits of wool for the berries - easy breezy:

At the last minute I appliqued a wool circle on top of the original flower bud because it just looked... wrong.  ;).

So far so good!  There is a linkup with Lori here!

  6. You chose a good pumpkin fabric. And the vine and leaf fabric is one I like really well too. I always find it interesting seeing what people use different than I did. Sometimes I wish I had used what they did. LOL!

  7. I think it looks great, Cynthia. I love your multi-colored berries, your lavender/purple moon and star, and the varied fabric for the spacer blocks.

  10. It is so much fun seeing everyone's ideas for each block! I love your lavender moons and wool berries and plaid/checked fabrics used for the pumpkin and the stems/leaves... So many ideas.... think I'll start with trying to bring some wool into a future block!
