Front Porch block 1

Here's block #1 in yet another monthly project I have started!  It's a sew along with Lori at Humble Quilts.   The pattern is Front Porch by Jan Patek.  Of course it is not too late to join in!  The link up is here.

I changed the colors a bit to represent our yellow house, at night, with the moon and stars in the sky.  Green door since we've been going in and out of our green kitchen door for ten years (minus the years in Japan).  It is so fun to be back into needleturn applique.

Those of us who are working on our Gwennie Inspired medallion centers... how is it going?  I am having quite a quilter's identity crisis with this one... but trying to relax about it!  It's never too late to join in!  Details here on Lori's blog.   Check in on June 6th when we reveal our basket centers!   And I am the one who chooses our next theme... oh the pressure! ;).  #GMmedallionQAL on Instagram.

  2. Your house is beautiful! I am NOT going to join in this one. I just can't but I surely am enjoying watching everyone's progress. I struggled with the Gwennie center too but am happy with the outcome of the final round. Look forward to seeing what you choose for us next!
