Stars in a Time Warp week 4 - Cheddar

Week 4 in Barbara Brackman's  Stars in a Time Warp quiltalong on her Civil War Quilts blog - chrome orange (called cheddar today).  I didn't have a single scrap of cheddar in my stash, but that was nothing a quick trip to The Quilted Crow couldn't remedy:

This week's theme brought to mind this old quilt - a"54-40 or Fight" - made for me by my great-grandma Una Fisher Brown (aka "Two") when I was about 6 years old.

That was, ahem, a long time ago indeed!

Anyway, these Stars in Time Warp stars are fun to make.

Each week Barbara teaches us about a particular reproduction fabric type.

If you decide to join in, start here and consider posting your blocks on Instagram #starsinatimewarp.

And meanwhile there's this view from our bedroom window this morning:

Huge snow last week...

And apparently more on the way.  Noooooooo!
